Comments to the art show Ferro Alfonso Ruiz.
"Spaces, Labyrinths and Other Places.
Ferro Alfonso\'s work is displayed in a wide range of stylistic reasons ranging from freedom of stroke abstract emotion, and knows how to hit, through the constructivist abstraction aftertaste controlled, to a kind of narrative representation of conceptual focus. His painting is a central practice in plastic production extends to the installation, ceramics and sculpture, and all, is sending a personal and contemporary.
The practice of painting Ferro, be understood as craftsmanship, as a model of illusion or subjective language registration and / or conceptual dialogue with a critical understanding of the history of Western representation. His work can be seen as a key to understanding the historicity of the look and prevailing myths about the subject even heroic.
The collection of works by the author, calls the recent work of his paintings that go beyond both Colombian-Mexican who gave birth to the artistic training of Alfonso Ferro. In his work can be seen reaching out to different generations, whose production is focused on painting in more established technical terms. Introducing different approaches, proposals and languages, this exhibition offers a reflection on the relevance of painting as a cultural expression, but also on the vitality of the auratic in the style of painting. His work tends to be circumspect expression, is observed to be an artist who speaks to the History of Art and his work is an inter-scrolling text in the interrogation of the gaze. As Tenorio says the writer Héctor Muñoz Cota:
His work invites us to remain silent before his canvas to observe a perpetual movement that profoundly the senses of the viewer.
Ferro has synthesized their questions to us to find the answers.
This exhibition, "Spaces, Labyrinths and Other Places," mixed understanding of art with a religious imprint on its way to the artist\'s experience, their questions, their moods, their ability to invade the space of painting . It makes us feel involved, projected in plastic universe and human.
